POGO Games Review. Multiple Fun With Various Games
Join millions of other users in the POGO universe and start enjoying leading free card, puzzle and word games such as Poppit, Word Whomp, Sweet Tooth 2 and Turbo21. This free app is an excellent addition to your Google Android or iOS device, and will have you staring at your screen for hours!
The design for all POGO games is based on colorful 2D-animation. The background and the design are simple yet efficient for mobile applications. The cartoony interface suits the overall concept of the game well. Graphics of this app deserves the score 9 out of 10!
What Is It About?
In Poppit, you are required to match groups of two or more balloons of similar color and pop them before releasing prizes. For a big super pop bonus, match larger groups of balloons to earn extra pop bonuses. The Prickly Mascot, Spike is your guide through the entire pop fest. There are special power-ups such as pins and weights which help make your popping agenda better.
In Word Whomp, spell as many words as possible before time runs out. Whomp gophers and spell from a given set of 6 letters. You can also mix up the letters if you are stuck. Reaching the spin carrot releases various tokens depending on the complexity of the level you are playing in.
Turbo21 is a casino-style game that lets you stack cards into groups that add up to 21. If you get 13 21s, you get a jackpot spin. You can clear lanes if you don’t hit your 21. You can also play a bonus game to earn 20 tokens.
In Sweet Tooth 2, the goal is to create 3 rows or columns (or more) of the same type of candy. Play by swapping candy positions in typical match-3 fashion. Fill your cavity meter to win the puzzle game.
The four games use a variety of swiping, typing letters on the screen and pressing enter, and tapping. These controls are adequate for such games and are simple enough for even an entirely new player to get the hang of. There’s no need for sophisticated controls which might otherwise take away from the playing experience.
The App Store and Google Play app for POGO offers in-app purchases which you can use for power-ups and access to upgrades. Purchasing the $4.99 monthly subscription gives you access to all the games and removes in-app ads. I think the score of this point is 9 out of 10.
To Replay or Not To Replay
POGO games are addictive, and I’ve personally replayed the games several times. There’s quite a variety with just a single app, which means you’ll never get bored playing these games. You’ll also get upgrades and power-ups which shift the games quite a bit and make them more interesting. Word Whomp is a great way to learn and challenge yourself. The score is 10/10.
Is It Good?
POGO should be on any of your hand-held devices. The wide variety offered by either the Android app or its iOS variant makes the game really interesting. The game keeps crashing though, even with updates in the latest versions, so this will be a turnoff for most folks. You’d be better off getting a trial subscription to POGO world for a month and test it on your device if you want to enjoy the game thoroughly. There are also too many ads in the game, though it’s expected with the free version.
