Graphics

The photos are a brilliant HD, and they are of vibrant colors, making them look good on your Google Android, iPhone or iPad. Some aspects of the game have 2D rendering including the background animations, but these are well designed and gel into the overall cool feel of the game. Both the Google Play app for Magic Jigsaw, and the App Store variant are sleekly designed and look good especially on tablets with the high-resolution pictures. Magic Jigsaw Puzzles’ graphics deserves the score 10 out of 10!

What is it about?

Magic Jigsaw Puzzle offers you various difficulty levels with different pieces to choose from. You can start from the easy puzzle with just a few pieces, and you can work your way up to an expert level with 630 pieces. There are over 20000 pictures to choose from with curated collections from Nat Geo and other collections including nature, landscapes, and beautiful animals. You can also create puzzles from your very own photos on your device. The white edges on the borderline pieces make it easy to find them.

You can choose rotation mode to make the design more interesting, and you can also enjoy the simple controls offered by the game. I also liked the various filters offered by the game and how players are able to choose different difficulty levels. You can share your photos with friends on the Magic Jigsaw Puzzle online community.

The app has a really simple tap and swipe controls which make it easy to navigate your way around the jigsaw board. The simple tap for most of the options makes it especially convenient to play the game on the smart screen and also removes any potential clutter from it. The controls are responsive and intuitive, and even new players will get used to them fairly quickly.

Both the iOS and Android apps are free and you can entirely play the game without any in-app purchases. You can get in-apps to make a play a bit more interesting with filters and special puzzles. These include Nat Geo: Real Nature for $4.99, Bridge Picture Puzzles for $3.99, Greek World in Jig Saw for $6.99 and numerous other packs that you can get. I think the score of this point is 9 out of 10.

To replay or not to replay

The game is quite addictive, and I’ve already played hundreds of levels myself.  There are lots of different play categories which make the game very exciting. I’ve also not come across a puzzle game yet that offers such a large variety of photos, even with in-app purchases. The score is 10/10.

Is it good?

I love playing the game especially on an iPad and the resolution or some of the pictures especially those from National Geographic are fantastic. They offer enough updates that help keep bugs out which is excellent for a game that you spend hours playing. The latest version of the game provides you with enough photos, and you can use your own pictures too. Even without paying for additional pictures, you’ll still enjoy playing the game. I’d recommend this app for having really lovely time spending.
